GRADUATION EXERCISES

It is the policy of the Acadia Parish School Board that no student be allowed to participate in commencement exercises until he/she has successfully completed all graduation requirements as prescribed by the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE).  Special Education students must meet all program requirements to receive a certificate of completion and participate in commencement exercises.

Students who complete their work at midterm may graduate at that time, but in doing so shall end their career at the local high school.

Graduation exercises shall be conducted during the last week of a school session, unless other arrangements have been made with the Superintendent.

Class rings, pins, invitations, and graduation exercises are not permitted for students completing the eighth or ninth grades.
