No person shall smoke, chew, inhale, ingest or absorb or otherwise consume any tobacco or tobacco product in any elementary or secondary school building, nor shall any school employee smoke, chew, inhale, or absorb, or otherwise consume any tobacco product on any other school property; however, this prohibition shall not be applicable to any tobacco product approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration for sale as a tobacco cessation product and which is marketed and sold solely for such purpose.
The use of tobacco or any tobacco product is prohibited on any school bus or school vehicle transporting students attending any elementary or secondary school. Additionally, during the loading, unloading or transport of students, no cigarettes, cigars, matches, smoking paraphernalia or other tobacco products, whether chewing tobacco, snuff or otherwise, shall be displayed or placed in any position in the vehicle so that those products may be observed by any student during the transportation of students in the vehicle.

School property also means any school vehicle used for the provision of academic and extracurricular programs and administration at any elementary or secondary school.
Smoking, carrying a lighted cigar or cigarette, pipe or any other form of smoking object or device shall be prohibited in buildings and on the grounds of all other School Board property (including portable buildings, field houses, stadiums, equipment storage areas, etc.), except in outdoor areas not located on the property of an elementary or secondary school which have been specifically designated as smoking areas by the building administrator.
