CLAIMS MANAGEMENT

The Acadia Parish School Board shall require all claims for reimbursement for injuries or damages against the School Board be submitted to the staff or qualified third-party claims administrator for review.  The School Board shall grant authority to the Superintendent, School Board attorney, and School Board President or Vice-President to settle any claim brought against the Board up to a maximum of $5,000.  Payment of any claim above this amount shall be approved by the School Board.  Time-sensitive settlements in excess of this amount may be authorized, if in the opinion of the Superintendent, School Board Attorney, and School Board President or Vice-President, it is in the best interest of the school system.
