GRANTS

The Acadia Parish School Board encourages the development of proposals to public and private granting agencies and other sources of financial aid for subsidizing educational programs and activities.  The Superintendent shall be authorized to submit applications for local, state, federal, corporation and foundation grants in keeping with the philosophy and policies of the School Board.  The Superintendent shall inform the Board prior to the submission of the application as to the amount requested and the purpose to be served, demonstrating compatibility with ongoing programs.  The Board shall exercise the right to disapprove and withdraw applications if it feels that such applications submitted are not compatible with Board philosophy or policy.
