Mrs. Jones introduced the schools that received National School Blue Ribbon award. South Crowley Elementary and Martin Petitjean were recognized. Kim Cummings, Principal, Martin Petitjean Elementary and Irma Trosclair, Principal, South Crowley Elementary were awarded a plaque and congratulated.

2. ACTION ITEMS
Action: 2.1 Consider recommendation of the Personnel, Insurance & Curriculum committee regarding changing committee meeting date to every 3rd Monday of the month
On a motion by Mr. Simar, second by Mr. Hebert, and carried, the Personnel, Insurance, and Curriculum Committee approved forwarding the item to change committee meeting days from every 3rd Wednesday to every 3rd Monday of the month to the Board as an action item.

Action: 3.1 Consider recommendation of the Personnel, Insurance & Curriculum committee regarding alignment of Acadia's insurance provisions with Public Law 111-148
On a motion by Mr. LaCombe, second by Mr. Simar, and carried, the Personnel, Insurance, and Curriculum Committee recommended aligning Acadia's health insurance provisions with Public Law 111-148 by offering an optional coverage to those persons who did not enroll during the previous open enrollment period.
